The "working fine" part after the GE visit did not last, after a few uses it degenerated back to its former sticky self :-( We have not yet called GE back, but I did extend the warranty ;-)

If the machine is left unused for a few days (rare around here) the stiffness seems to get much better, as if the nylon mouldings dry out and shrink, relaxing the fit somewhere, but to go against that sometimes it is relatively free just after it has been run :-( Lifting the rack as it is being moved always helps.

I do have a possible theory which I would like you to comment on :-

If the machine were dropped (not from a great height !) the top rack would try to "fall" and maybe it would bend the prongs that have the wheels on them when it "landed". These wheels would now not run vertically, but off by a slight angle, perhaps enough to make them bind in the tracks ... It is the wheels in the tracks that bind, not the tracks on their wheels, they are totally free moving.

Thanks

Jim
