i have a lennox furnace G16q3/4-100-1. (model g16 series) the motor on top makes noise. Not the blower motor on the bottom with the filter. what is this motor called. is it called a induced draft blower?

Yes, theh small fan above is the inducer motor. If I recalled, they had some rusting problems with them and the updated them a whle back.
Have you had a complet check up on it? Those heat exchanger are known to crack as well. _____________
