I have an old Osterizer blender. The other day I was making a thick salad dresing with tahini. I did something I've never done before - I left a spoon in
the blender and turned it on. I thought the dried tomatoes were too hard and chunky. It is a miracle the glass container didn't shatter. The blades seem
okay, good enough, anyhow, but although the machine runs smoothly with nothing in the jar, when I add anything, the noise is appalling. The little metal prong
on which the jar sits comes off and appears rather worn underneath. I don't recall that piece ever being loose before.
Is there any hope for this blender? Is there anything I can do? Any insights or advice will be greatly appreciated.
