I needed to replace pump on Kenmore newer (3 years old) Washer Mod - 110.15942401 . I tried using the instructions on "How to take apart" /
"Remove Cabinet". I ran into a big roadblock on getting the console off. There were no screws / covers as described in the instructions. I was
about to give up and call the repair guy when I posted on another site and got some quick help that explained how to do it. There are no screws only clips on
the left and right side that need to be popped / pried out with a putty knife etc. and then the consule pops right up. Once I got there it was a simple (15
min) job. I wanted to post this update and a picture that is attached to my profile. I can't figure out how to post that picture to this thread?? The
instructions were great up to that point and this site gave me the courage to try and do it myself. Thanks to this site and others for taking the mystery out
of appliance repair.

Well can't figure out how you attach pictures on this site so I'll have to leave that off. Hopefully above is enough help for others.

Hi,
There is now 4 ways to lift the consol on the Whirlpool built direct drive washers 
Newist one is the push in clips ( no screws ) like you mentioned.
