My KitchenAid KUDI01ILWH6 dishwasher has a noisy whine. I removed the screw on the inlet protector, but can't get the inlet protector off to clean out the
chopper assembly. Is there a secret to its removal?

Hi,
No tricks....but it can get stuck with calcium and gookus from the d/w. Remove the screw securing the foreign objects protector to the sump base and remove the protector. Remove the screw securing the inlet protector to the pump base and lift the inlet protector out.
