Our White Westinghouse dishwasher model MDB121RFM2 is no longer circulating water. My wife reported it making a lot of noise, and the dishes were not cleaned well. She also said that a glass broke recently and pieces got in the DW.
I took off all the pieces that I can from the inside. Found a couple small bits of glass, one near the chopper, another in the sprayer arm…
I have run it through the cycles and can say it fills properly with water, but when the wash cycle starts, no water is pumped through the sprayer arms. I can see that the chopper blade did start to spin and churn the water a bit, but no jets of any force coming up from the bottom and not a drop out of the top. I also noticed the chopper blade seemed to be squealing a bit and it stopped a few times and started again, as if it was slipping.
The machine drains fine also.
Access to the rear of the DW is limited for now (due to a laminate floor going down on top of the old floor, so the DW won't slide easily out… ). Hoping to get as far as I can before having to remove countertop etc.
Any ideas on what to try next? Any help greatly appreciated.
